What are the pros of using stainless steel wire mesh in gas filtration?

Stainless steel is corrosion resistance to many corrodants/environment.
Easy to to fabricate as wires and as mesh
Note: You are making wiremesh but you do not know why the mesh is made of SS. I think, the question is Sales Promotion purpose.
